Five storks are standing in a rectangular pool, looking in all directions, whilst small fountains bubble up from the water.
History:
In memory of Hansel and Gretel, the pair of storks that had been nesting regularly in Wöhrd since 1950 and were looked after by the residents of Wöhrd, the City of Nuremberg commissioned the creation in 1965 of a stork sculpture group with a fountain, designed by Karl Riedel and cast in bronze by the Christoph Lenz foundry.
